Vallum Corporation is a private medical technology company founded in 2015. Headquartered in Nashua, New Hampshire, Vallum has fully developed its Accelerated Neutral Atom Beam (ANAB) technology and ANAB processing protocols for subtractive nanotexturing on two important thermoplastic materials, PEEK and polyethylene used respectively in spinal fusion interbody cages and orthopedic total joint replacement devices.
Our goal is to improve the performance of:
PEEK to make it antimicrobial and osseointegrating because infection and lack of full bone integration are two major problems with PEEK interbody cages.
Polyethylene to make it antimicrobial and wear resistant because infection and wear are two major problems in total joint replacement devices.
A substantial investment in time and capital has been made in developing our proprietary ANAB processing technology as well as the nano-processing techniques and protocols used to create nanotexturing on PEEK (PEEKplus) and polyethylene (NanoGlide).
ANAB technology and its medical applications for nano-scale surface modification, including NanoGlide and PEEKplus, are covered by multiple issued patents and trade secrets.
Vallum’s mission is to develop, produce and deliver innovative and disruptive nano-scale surface protocols to affordably improve implantable medical devices using its ANAB technology and thereby improve patient outcomes and quality of life.
To achieve excellence in new product innovation is never an easy task, but it is one made even more difficult considering today’s competitive intensity, customer volatility, and economic uncertainty—not to mention the difficulty of innovating in an environment of escalating challenges to intellectual property. Within this context, your receipt of this Award signifies an even greater accomplishment.
We congratulate you on your achievements and wish you great success in the future. We are here to support you on any future endeavor.
